UK Cybersecurity Plan

Summary:
The government of Great Britain has released its 2011 Cyber Security Strategy plan. The government want to focus more on cybercrime than before, because of the increasing cybercrime all across the world including Great Britain. They also want to renew focus on cyberspace as an engine of economic and social prosperity. Cybercrime has become very popular and it is very hard to find it and to tackle it’s basics, but it has to be dealt with at some point, which is now for the UK government.
My opinion:
I think it is very good that the UK government is about to start the battle against cybercrime. Many people get ripped off by paying through the internet and don’t  receive their goods. It is also known as scamming. The amount of people that are getting scammed through cybercrime is increasing more and more each year. Therefore it is needed that the government acts strictly and fairly against cybercrime to protect people’s privacy and money which is very important.

Manchester City faces a £ 200 million pound loss!

Summary:
Football club Manchester City has announced a  £ 200 million pound last over the last football season 2010-2011. It is the biggest financial loss in the English football history. The UEFA is going to add financial fair play rules to football in the year 2013-2014. This means Manchester City has to break even in 3 years’ time, which is almost impossible for a football club with such high losses. City is currently owned by a Sheik from the Middle East called: Sheikh Mansour of Abu Dhabi.  He spent more than 500 million pounds on players since 2008.

My opinion:

I think the government of countries that at this point still allowed football clubs to create such huge losses, should discuss this within their party and come up with a solution. Because if it continues this way it will affect the economy of these countries at a certain point. I also think it is unfair to other football clubs which does not have these amounts of moneys to spend on football players. The players will just go to the clubs which pays them the highest salary. It has to stop soon, because else certain football clubs will buy all the good and expensive players, and the game of football will slowly die.

Olympics 2012: Wales & Great Britain

Summary:
Two famous Welsh football players agreed to play for Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics, according to their manager Gary Speed.  They are keen to play at the Games next summer, they even promoted Great Britain already by wearing the GB shirt at a photo-shoot.  This has causes some trouble though. The people from Wales think they shouldn’t play for Great Britain because they think Wales is a separate country. They see this as some kind of betrayal against Wales. In the end the decision is up to the players to either play for GB or not.
My opinion:
I think if Wales has some great football players they should be allowed to play for Great Britain at the Olympics, and the support of Wales should assist their players and NOT let them down like they do now. Wales is part of Great Britain, so why not let the Welsh football players play for GB? It doesn’t make any sense if they couldn’t or if they get hold up by their own people from Wales. Welsh people should be proud that they have some people playing for Great Britain instead of disagreeing with the whole situation.
